Charlotte’s practice is driven by a desire to find and express a brighter side of life. Aware of the emotive power of colour and harmonious composition, she embraces a vibrant palette, finding inspiration in nature to create abstract compositions. Her artworks express an ongoing fascination with layering and juxtaposing vivid colour to play with opposing ideas of transparency and solidity, simplicity and complexity.
Art and art making have always been an integral part of Charlotte’s life. Following her university studies (Bachelor of Visual and Performing Arts and Master of Art Curatorship), she enjoyed a career in exhibition management and curatorship. Over the last few years, she’s focussed on her own professional artistic practice, expressing her passion for colour in a distinctive hard-edge, abstract style.
