Julee Latimer Original Artwork

Julee Latimer, an English artist now based in Australia, has been creating art since childhood. She first gained international acclaim for her work in sculptural mosaic art. However, the physically demanding nature of the craft led to wrist and elbow strain, prompting a shift in her artistic approach. To mark this transition, she published "Sculptural Secrets for Mosaic" (Schiffer Publishing, USA, 2017) and pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts, specialising in Sculpture and Painting, at Curtin University in Perth, graduating in 2019.

Latimer's art is influenced by her experiences of relocating internationally, which inspired her unique technique of waiting for paint to dry before deconstructing and reinventing it. Now working from her home studio in Melbourne, she creates vibrant series that each explore this process in distinct ways. Her innovative works have earned her a place as a finalist in numerous prestigious art prizes and are held in both private and public collections worldwide.
