Karen Cavania
Painting is Karen’s go to happy place, that one place we all like to lose ourselves in. For Karen, painting allows her thoughts to float freely whilst her hands are covered in colour. Karen mainly paints with a pallet knife, allowing her to create surfaces with varying consistencies and build layers of interest, her world is a curated collection of colour and texture.
Having grown up in London in an artistic family, Royal Academician Grandfather, Karen’s world from an early age was immersed in creativity. The day before her 40th birthday Karen emigrated to Australia with her Aussie husband, daughter and 2 cats. Life’s next massive adventure awaited.
Now spending most of her time in her new home town of Geraldton in regional Western Australia with her two beautiful oodles, Karen’s inspiration is found in the world of nature around her. From the ever changing beach, mood of the ocean, brightness of the sky, shades of the sunsets, paddocks of dust to the fields of colours, the endless paintbox.
